Hibiscus Lemonade
One of my favs for summer. I have lessened my alcohol consumption more and more so instead, this has been my substitute. It’s the best of both worlds- I’m not being dehydrated by consuming alcohol and this drink is literally helping me heal.
🌺Hibiscus, known for its aid in supporting the liver, boosting the immune system & helping boost collagen and elasticity in the skin.
🍋Lemons help to cleanse and detoxify the entire body, while helping us hydrate!
🍯 Raw honey is extremely high in minerals such as calcium, potassium, zinc, selenium, phosphorus, chromium, molybdenum, and manganese.
Hibiscus lemonade 🌺 🍋
2 hibiscus tea bags
1 whole lemon
3 Tbsp honey
Bring roughly 4 cups of water to a boil and steep both tea bags until water cools.
When the water is still warm stir in honey. I try to avoid adding the honey while the water is hot as it has been said hot hot water can heat off some of the nutrients in honey!
Once tea has cooled, pour into pitcher and add in 1 squeezed lemon and roughly 2 cups cool water. Serve over ice and enjoy.
